Terms of Service for CheckLah Driver
These terms govern your use of the CheckLah Driver Android app (package com.checklah.driver) and this website, operated by CheckLah ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. They're short on purpose; please actually read them.
Effective
An informational tool, not a dispatcher#
Arrival, demand, surge, traffic and schedule data in the app are best-effort aggregations of public sources and community reports. We make no guarantee of their accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and no guarantee that passenger demand exists at any hub at any time. Where to drive, when to drive and what to charge are your decisions alone.
Safety#
The app is designed for use while parked. Never interact with it while driving. You are responsible for complying with all road-safety and device-use laws that apply to you.
Community content#
Surge reports and votes are user-generated. Submit only what you actually observe. Spam, fabricated reports or manipulation of the surge map may lead to suspension or termination of your account. Rate limits apply.
Payments and receipts#
If you use Tap to Pay, you are the merchant of record via your own Stripe account, under your own agreement with Stripe. CheckLah Driver is not a party to any ride or any payment, and issues no receipts itself: receipts are driver-issued documents generated on your device. Disputes about a fare or a payment are between you, your passenger and Stripe.
No affiliation#
CheckLah Driver is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Changi Airport Group, the Land Transport Authority, the Singapore Land Authority or OneMap, KTMB, any cruise or ferry operator, SISTIC, or any ride-hail platform including Grab, TADA, Gojek, Zig and Ryde. All trademarks belong to their owners.
Your account#
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself. We may suspend or terminate accounts used for abuse, manipulation or unlawful activity. You can delete your account at any time; see the delete account page.
No warranty#
The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability#
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckLah is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost income, lost fares or lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim (the app is free, so this may be zero).
Governing law#
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Material changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
